Optical safety guidance system with LED / Colour- and lighting concept for corridors of hospital bulding

In the course of the renewal of the electrical systems, we planned a LED light line in the floor for the corridors of a hospital building in the Dresden University Hospital. This light line will be installed as an additional, supplementary element of an optical safety guidance system. The advantage of a signage system close to the ground is that even if smoke makes it difficult to see the signs and luminaires close to the ceiling, orientation and guidance to the exits is possible. This lighting makes it easier to leave the building more quickly in the event of danger.
This pilot project is intended to gather experience in the installation, technical implementation and operation of floor luminaires for future use as part of the optical safety guidance system at Dresden University Hospital.
The planning also included the development of a lighting and colour concept for the central corridor areas of the building.

Gestaltfibel Bahnhofstraße Berlin Lichtenrade

Gestalfibel Bahnhofstraße Berlin Lichtenrade

The design guice / “Gestaltfibel” for the Bahnhofstraße in Berlin Lichtenrade, which we developed, has now been published in its second edition at www.az-lichtenrade.de.

It offers recommendations for the design of the buildings and facades in the shopping street and thus serves as orientation for future investments. The design guide brings together town planning, architecture and urban development and can thus be a helpful instrument for preserving the old and supplementing it with new quality features.

The Gestaltibel is available for download at: https://az-lichtenrade.de/service/downloads/grundlagen/
